The island is located in the district Saronde Kwandang, North Gorontalo regency, Indonesia about 65 miles from the center of Gorontalo with travel time approximately 1.5 hours using a personal vehicle.
The island is a cluster of islands Saronde Ponelo (Ponelo village), a small uninhabited island, but the island is relying on its natural beauty. Area of the island is only about 1 km around the coast with beaches surround the island and who has its own characteristics. From the North to the West, along the white sandy beaches, and from the South to the East along the beach filled with rocks who neatly arranged like in order by human hands, and surrounded by a Marine Park who has the beauty of Coral Reefs.
